Mental Health Disorders | TTS
TTS is a Christian based residential treatment center that offers special programs for girls with mental health disorders. Our programs are designed to help teens improve their mental health and their family relationships. We use powerful therapeutic tools, such as animal therapy and equine assisted therapy, to help troubled girls learn how to correct animals with their same behavioral issues. TTS offers a nurturing environment with highly-trained staff to help students get through a highly structured curriculum. We focus on self-discipline and accountability through comprehensive counseling, which are the perfect conditions for helping girls gain the tools they need to deal with their issues. Parents, if your child needs mental health services, please call TTS at .
Adolescents feel all kinds of pressures is why being a teenager is not easy. The pressures of doing well in school, being popular with their peers, gaining the approval of parents, making the ball teams, trying to be “cool”, and other special problems, can wear on all teens. Some are able to cope well, and some are not. Teenagers worry about their parents being out of work or their family’s financial problems. Sometimes parents get divorced or the teen is living with a parent’s alcoholism or mental illness. Most teenagers develop into healthy adults, despite these pressures. However, some teens develop serious mental, emotional or behavioral problems requiring professional help and the sooner a teenager gets help, the better.
A combination of factors may be involved in the reason for most mental disorders, but research implies that we do not know the exact reason. Factors like biology, heredity, environmental stress and psychological trauma are all considerations for mental health disorders in children.
